Act on Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains
With the introduction of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), lawmakers have established a framework for responsible and sustainable value creation throughout the entire supply chain. Aide complies with the corporate due diligence obligations outlined in the LkSG. We implement an effective risk management system and conduct analyses to identify and mitigate potential human rights and environmental risks, as well as to prevent or address any violations of human rights or environmental obligations. Through appropriate preventive measures, we proactively counteract human rights and environmental risks within our operations and among our suppliers.
We expect our suppliers to comply with all requirements regarding supply chains, human rights, and environmental regulations. These include, in particular, prohibitions on child labor, slavery, forced labor, disregard for occupational safety, violation of freedom of association, discrimination in employment, withholding of fair wages, causing harmful soil changes, water pollution, air pollution, harmful noise emissions, excessive water use, unlawful land eviction or expropriation, illegal use of private or public security forces, as well as bans on the use of mercury, prohibited chemicals, and handling of hazardous waste.
Regular reviews of our compliance with the LkSG are a core part of our compliance management system. To ensure adherence to the LkSG within our own operations and along our supply chain, we have established a grievance procedure within our organization. This allows individuals to report human rights and environmental risks and violations: Whistleblower Protection Act.
All reports are received and reviewed by our Compliance Team and treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Whenever possible, we seek contact with the reporting individual to discuss the case and initiate any necessary measures to clarify and address the matter.
